Rising Heat...and BillsEveryone knows heat rises and with heating bills heading in the same direction there is no excuse for not insulating your attic. The attic is potentially a major area of heat loss in any house. Up to 35% of heat lost can be leaked through the roof. Unlike wall solutions this is an area that can be rectified relatively cheaply and so the payback time on insulating your attic is minimal.

We realise that not all roof are the same, or straightforward so we offer a wide range of rollout, blown and rigid insulation solutions. Everyone knows someone who had burst pipes this winter... Insulating you attic is not just about insulating between your ceiling joists. The current requirement to bring insulation up to the required standard for the SEAI Grant scheme is 300mm or 12 inches of insulation. This in itself means that there is no longer any heat escaping into your attic space, and as such can lead to freezing pipes and burst tanks. Faqs1. Is blown Rockwool as effective as roll out? Yes. It is the same product only installed in a different way. It is better than rollout for getting correct levels of insulation in hard to reach places. 2. Can you insulate around my Stira Stairs? Yes we have a range of products that can be used to insulate around all sorts of attic hatches and ladder accesses. They are all fully certified and SEAI approved. 3. How long will it take? All rockwoll instillations can be carried out in 1 day and usually quicker. 4. Will I always get a grant? No. There is a requirement that you apply for at least €400 of a grant and this means that you will have to carry out at least one other measure to be able to avail of the Grant |
